About The Catalytic Capital Repository
Accelerating the use of catalytic capital
Our mission is to accelerate the effective use of catalytic capital through transparency. We host a repository which makes it easier to find and compare both providers and available catalytic instruments. This initiative aims to enhance transparency, facilitate collaboration, and contribute to increasing both the scale and speed of climate financing.

Developed by ecosystem partners
The Catalytic Capital Repository (Repository) was developed by the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net-Zero (GFANZ) and the Global Capacity Building Coalition (GCBC) in collaboration with blended finance experts, catalytic capital providers, financial institutions, and others.

Selected to mobilize private capital
The Repository is intended to complement, rather than replace, existing tools and platforms, and enhance current efforts to standardize and document appropriate risk/return profiles for participants in blended finance structures. It has been built to include information about:
- Public and private catalytic capital providers, including multilateral and bilateral development banks, multilateral funds, government agencies, export credit agencies, and philanthropies and foundations
- Key financial instruments available from those providers directly to transactions involving the private sector, such as grants, concessional debt and equity, and risk mitigation tools

Data is drawn directly from Requests for Proposals (RFPs) or submitted by catalytic capital providers to maximize accuracy and quality. Updates are shared on a periodic basis as windows change or new windows become available. All data on guarantees is shared via the Green Guarantee Directory, run by the Climate Policy Initiative and Green Guarantees Group.

Any information provided by the CCR is for informational purposes only and does not constitute a commitment by any party to provide catalytic capital. Terms and conditions of any catalytic capital offering are subject to change, and providers retain sole discretion over how such capital is deployed.
